Run Doris Run! You might have seen them at TOC 07, Warped Tour 07 or 08 trying to sell you their CD's with their sexiness (what can I say...it works everytime....) Recently they have come out with their new full length CD, Vultures to add to their past EP's The Bigger Picture and Five More Songs.

Here's an interview from Jared Wesley, the bassist, also guy in the beaie in the background from a year ago when the band was getting to their feet while touring and accompanying Evaline and Saosin along Taste of Chaos '07.

1. Where are you guys from?

Long Beach Ca

2. How did you get the band name Run Doris Run?

We once had a fat lady named Doris that lived next to us. She would always complain that we were to loud when we play. she was a bitch.

3. What do you play?I play bass!

4. Did you always want to be in a rock band? or what did you want to be when you were a kid?Ya for me its always been that wanted to be a singer. I have never done good in school and it was always my dream to just do what I'm doing now.

5. what influenced your music?

We have so many influences we have grown up listening to everything.some are...U2. REM. The Police. Blink 182. Green Day. Recover (my favorite band!). Brand New. Saves The Day... The list goes on and on.

6. What music legend do you inspire to become (if any)?Hell if Run Doris Run is going to be legendary someday then we are always gonna be the guys we are today. We are not changing.

7. Tell me about the taste of chaos tour.

The TOC tour was amazing. We had a great time. Me made a lot of friends. We got to connect with our fans. And us as friends experienced something like that together for the first time.

8. How old were you when you started playing bass?

I started playing bass when i was in 8th grade and i was i think 12

9. How were you guys "discovered"?

haha i think its more we found our fans. We work really hard with promoting. We get in peoples faces and make them listen to us.

10. Where do you play?

We play everywhere we can.

11. What's in the future?

Thats always a good question. We are a family. We have grown up together and are still growing up with each other. Run Doris Run will be around for a very long time. As for right now. Run Doris Run will be on the full 07 Warped Tour. We are home for 3 months writing a full length album that we expect to be out January 08. In 2008 We plan on touring 250+ days out of the year.
